Devices & Servers Question

Post by AnOldFella »

I've searched the MM Help Wiki and this forum, but haven't been able to find anything that answers my question.

When I installed MMW5, it discovered 3 devices connected to my home network that it considers Media Servers. Two of them can't be used with MMW and the third, my NAS, is not needed as a server. I see that there is a means to manually add a server to the Device & Services list, but can find no way to remove one. How do I tell MMW to ignore these devices and remove them from the list ?

You can't. If it's available it will always be shown.

Note that this is similar to Devices, which can be removed (as they still show when not available), but would return at the moment they're connected again.

You should check NAS WEB Configuration and disable it. Such servers, can strain NAS resources a lot.

If possible can you share what those devices are and why can't be used with MM?
