Something I need to duplicate in order to move from Jriver to MM is that I has a few API calls to Jriver that I need to see if i can duplicate in MM

Pause Music
Play Music
Play a playlist shuffled

I could then use home automation to run these scripts based on various things happening in the house.

Are there ways to do this via MM API? Or is there some other method I should look into?

Hi,
If you p[lan to develop remote MM controller maybe it would be usefull to ask developer of https://mmremote.net/ to see if you can directly command MMRemote server, also if you can execute action on PC depending on external conditions like Alexa then addon needs to be created.
