Casting: unexpected behaviour when changing order of playing queue [#20589]

When I change the order of playing queue while casting to a chromecast speaker, the order of playback changes more or less unpredictably. Sometimes the current track gets repeated. Sometimes a song that was in the next position for playback before moving it further down in the playlist gets played.

Similar problem here when casting to Chromecast Audio. When adding a new track to be played next it is skipped and next track skipped also. A few times Media Monkey has crashed after ongoing track is over (after adding a new track). Two times whole mobile has crashed and restarted. No other app has never caused mobile crash!!

Another problem that has existed even before this version is that sometimes the track is repeated randomly. This happens maybe about once an hour.

Good to hear that I am not the only one seeing those problems.

I just installed latest MMA 2.0.0.1160 and casted a short test playlist with only 4 songs. After the playlist ended, I pressed play and the first song of the playlist was repeated over and over again - at least 20 times until I stopped playback.

MMA did not make my mobile crash, but android sometimes complains that MMA is not responding. This sometimes happens if I skip a song while casting. In that situation MMA is not usable anymore, I kill it and MMA loses casting connection. The song thaz should be skipped continues playing. No chance to stop it via MMA.

I think it's related to changing the play order when only a few seconds remain in the currently playing track.

Over two weeks passed by... And https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=20589 looks like beeing ready for rollout. I know that you generally do not give ETAs, but did you just forget to trigger the release process?

No, but we were not fully satisfied with releases and wanted to include few more fixes. We plan to do release soon after we test 1163 internally and find it satisfying

Still no update available.
I can no longer live with all the current casting issues. I am thinking about leaving the beta channel. Does the current official MMA version in playstore contain these bugs? And do I have to sync all music to the phone again after reinstalling MMA?

Problem is fixed for me.

Unsubscribe from Beta and if MMA Beta version is newer you need to reinstall or WAit till the next stable version that will be higher than Beta.

It should not transfer all the. First sync should be slower due the fact it check files integrity and checksum/pairing with MM5 library, but that is one time job.
