Albums are always sorted by date on grid view.

Hi,

Using grid view to see all Artists/Album (main view) sorted by name. (Perfect).

Click on one of them (in this example Americo), get a view with artist detail on top and albums listed under sorted by date.

I can change it to "Album", but it is not saved. Next time it will be reset to "Date".


It is not too awkward however it will be a "nice to have" if we can choose by default the way the view sort behaves.
Is there a way to set default to Album instead of Date?

Please update to the latest MediaMonkey 2024 beta, it should be fixed there.

Hi,
Many thanks for advising.
I have downloaded and installed MediaMonkey 2024.0.0.3005.
I did a test.

Well, it gets improved but not completely.

The working part:

1: Grid view
2: Select an artist by a single click. The screen enlarges (zoom) under to show albums
3: At the right of "Sort by" (itself on the right), mouse left click to swap from Date to Album
4: Get it sorted by album and "Sort by " shows Album
5: I navigate to different Artists with single click, all is "OK". Album value is kept from one artist to the other and albums are sorted correctly

The mess part:

1: Grid view
2: Select an artist by a double click. The view is changed showing the artist (history information) and all his albums
3: At the right of "Sort by" (itself on the right), mouse left click to swap from Date to Album
4: Get it sorted by album and "Sort by " shows Album
5: Go back on grid view either by re-selecting Artists/album on left panel or with left (back) arrow on menu bar
6: Select once again the same artist, this time I do have Album as value for "Sorted by" but it is sorted by "Date"

There is a discrepancy between what it says and what it shows !!!

Single Click OK
Double Click KO

Checking on 3045 and this seems to be working now. Do you still see this on 3045?
