Low volume with Android Auto

Post by allbenatt »

This is the only thread I could find re MMA 2.0 so I'm posting here. I am not a beta tester.

For the past few months, MMA has been playing at very low volume in my car compared to other music players I have on my phone. Today I tried disconnecting my phone (LG V60) from its USB connection to my car and using Bluetooth to play MMA. The volume when MMA is played via Bluetooth seems to be normal. Of course, using Bluetooth only (without the USB connection) means I am not using Android Auto and all the apps that are so useful to me.

For reference:
  • my car is a 2016 Hyundai Sonata
I'm sure it doesn't have the latest release of AA (which I understand only works with the head units in cars built over the last few years)(?)
Also, I tried disabling volume leveling and also disabling transitions as recommended in a thread with similar (but not identical) issues. Neither one worked.

I'm wondering whether the MMA devs are aware of this issue and if MMA 2.0
  • will resolve this issue
will work with older releases of Android Auto
Thanks.
