MMA Mounted Storage

Post by mozman75 »

Hi All,

Every time I open MMA it asks if I want to scan for updated media files. When I go into another screen, Albums, Tracks, Artists, etc., it asks if I want to scan for updated media files. Every time. Is there a setting I need to change? I've been using MMA for a long time (years) and transfer my files (over 5000) via wifi. My phone's a Samsung S10+. This only seems to have happened after the last update (I'm not sure about that, but it seems logical.)

Thanks for any help.

Edit: I uninstalled the app and then re-installed it. No issues...

You're using an MMA 2.0.1 beta build, and beta builds prior to 1208 had bugs of various severities related to handling of mounted storage. This is fixed in the latest beta build 1208.

Good to know. Thanks. I'll be sure to update (if it's not been done already).

It seems the recent update might be causing MediaMonkey for Android (MMA) to scan for new media files too often. To fix this, check the settings in MMA for any auto-scanning options and make sure they aren't set too frequently. You can also try clearing the app's cache by going to your phone's settings, selecting MediaMonkey, and choosing 'Clear Cache.' If the problem continues, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the app. If these steps don’t work, it could be a bug from the update, so reporting it to the MediaMonkey support team may help.
