I don't have /MediaMonkey directory on my new phone any more. Is it located elsewhere or do I just ignore that step?Run a file manager and delete the /MediaMonkey directory from both the internal memory and SD Card

Hi,
What phone it is and What android Version it runs?
I am Asking because recently Android OS mask folders existence in order appear non existent eg. same thing happens in Windows by default c:\Users\<USERNAME>\Appdata is hidden and not seen in Explorer.
Point is that under AppInfo you have Clear data which will exactly clear that MM folder.

Re: Clean Install - Assistance
My phone is a Galaxy S24 running Android 14.
So the steps to do a clean install differ from the instructions (https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... c-profile/) in that I shouldn't uninstall the App but instead use the Appinfo/Clear data option then skip "Run a file manager and delete the /MediaMonkey directory from both the internal memory and SD Card" then delete the App step?

Hi,
Yes as it is new to Android 14 (I think). Try using your File browser to navigate to /Android/data/com.ventis.... and se if you can delete files there (on my devices /Android/ is empty folder)

Re: Clean Install - Assistance
I have successfully set up my MMA on my new phone (Galaxy S24). Initially I used SmartSwitch to copy across the MMA Apps (including Pro version), Music and Playlists contents from my S20FE to S24 but that created problems (mainly Artwork & duplicates (_1) related).
Using https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... c-profile/ as a guide I took the following steps:
1. Closed MMA
2. Under App Info/Storage I "Clear cache" and "Clear data" for MediaMonkey App. I did not touch MediaMonkey Pro App. I did not uninstall MMA on my new phone.
3. Using the built in File Manager on my phone I deleted all the contents of Internal Storage\Music and \Playlists
4. In MMW I deleted the existing new phone profile under Devices & Services.
5. I open MMA and went through the usual setup granting permissions and customisation
6. I did an initial "Check for new/changed media" under Settings\Library & Sync
7. I opened MMW
8. I used the MMA Sync Configuration wizard to establish the phone's profile on my MMW (I didn't go all the way through the wizard, once the phone's profile was created in MMW I backed out of the wizard)
9. In MMW I configured new phone profile\'Sync profile' to my requirements then "Apply" (tick auto-conversion for any audio) to generate the mp3 files
10. I then configured the "Sync List Library>Device" but I only selected about 10% of the required Playlists and Music then Apply.
11. On MMA I ran the Wifi Sync and checked it, all good
12. I repeated step 10 but incrementally increased the selection of Playlists and Music to 20% then Apply. All good
13. Repeat step 10 again but added 30% then next time added the last 40%.
Thanks Peke for your assistance, its appreciated.
MMW = 5.0.5.2695
MMA = 2.0.0.1173
