Windows 10 Pro with MM5 - Upgrade?

Post by TheEmpathicEar »

If I do an upgrade to Windows 11 Pro, how much trouble is this going to be with MM5?

Hi,
There should be not a big problem except maybe on top reinstall MM demands are small and its registry footprint minimal.

I would rather be sure that I have Complete HDD backup rather than MM only.

In case of any other issues like gray tracks it should be easily fixable by yourself.
Best regards,

In the worst case Windows changes the driveID of the drive on upgrade in which case you can re-assign drive.

I think Upgrading to Windows 11 Pro should work fine with MediaMonkey 5 (MM5). Just back up your MM5 database and settings beforehand, and check for updates afterward. Ensure audio drivers are up to date and that your MediaMonkey Gold license remains active. If media paths change, you may need to reconfigure your library, but the process should be smooth.
