Why do certain tracks not sync to MMA?

I have a certain MP3 file that, for whatever reason, will not sync over to my player running MediaMonkey Android.

The song plays fine on MediaMonkey Windows and other players I load it in, so I don't know what might be causing this one song not to sync.

Which Build (Help > About) of MMW are you using to Sync and did you do a USB or wi-fi Sync?

Are you sure the files are selected to be Synced? Can you manually Send to the device (USB), or does that fail too? Do you get any error messages during a Sync where these files fail to Sync?

Let me try again. It turns out I was using the version prior to RC-4.

Unfortunately RC-4 did not help.

Files are selected for syncing. Under Devices and Services, and then Sync list (Library -> Device), I selected "All Music." Also, at the end of the sync, on the Android device, there's an error message - it simply says "Failed to save (1 track)."
Manually sending to device DOES work. I extracted the SD card from my player and plugged it directly, and I was able to confirm in Windows Explorer that the cover art and song made it over.

However, there's a new problem. Now when I sync, it just throws up an "Unknown Error."

Can you quickly test if Sync still fails if you remove the leading - in the filename (or do other files with a leading - in the filename sync without issue)?

Also have you checked with a File Browser on the device that the file itself is really not there?

Full disclosure, because there were some other things I did (sorry...)

I did remove the leading - in the filename. But what I did was I synced directly via SD card plugged into my PC. The song copied over, but it won't play on MMA.

Separately, right now, I'm attempting another wifi sync, but the screen has been stuck at "Sync is waiting for other background operations to complete." for about 5 minutes now.

Remove the - in the filename on the phone, see if that works.

OK. I removed the - , and that worked. I had to copy the song into a different SD card manually and load it that way, but it works that way.

Sorry to revive this thread, but I'm back to facing issues.

I factory reset my player for other reasons, reinstalled MediaMonkey with MM Pro and attempted to sync my whole library to my player via wifi.

Two songs did not sync. The error says "Failed to Download."

With USB transfer, the two songs that "Failed to Download" would not copy over.

And now, after the USB transfer, I can no longer do wifi sync. I keep getting "Unknown Error."
