Dutch translation

Post by ui »

I'd like to say that the Dutch translation really sucks. I don't know who translated Mediamonkey into Dutch, but I do know that his/her knowledge of Dutch language is poor. Maybe you guys should find someone who can translate into Dutch in a normal way!

Correction

I saw a bad translation in the dutch version.
When you select "Bibliotheek onderhouden" (= cleaning up library) you get a tiny screen. It's title is "Behoud bibliotheek". This means litterely "Maintain library". But there should be written "Onderhoud bibliotheek" (= Library Cleanup).

I'm a little bit confused.
I thought UI maintained the Dutch localisation. Or are there different persons translating the MM program and the MM help?

Do future localisation requests for Dutch have to be sent to Felix Atagong now?

Thanks

I didn't mean to take over the translations. Just want to say that there are some mistakes in it.. For example there is written somewhere "Laatste 5O gespeeld". As you see, the zero (0) of 50 is written as an uppercase character (O). It should be 50 instead of 5O.

Anyway a big thumb up for all who translate! Still lots of work to do.

Felix Atagong wrote:(...) File: Default.mo
Use an editor to change behoud bibliotheek into onderhoud bibliotheek.
Save. (...)
That did not work. MM didn't show up anymore after that change. (although the processes were loaded) I took use of the backed up version to fix MM again.

Maybe I could have something to say about this ... :D I think that guest already mailed me a few weeks ago about some isues in the MM2.4 translation. I told him (if it was him ...) that I'd look into it when the translation for MM2.5 starts. I don't see why I should bother changing things in an old translation.

So, if you'd like to see something changed in the current Dutch translation, please mail me at ui30@xs4all.nl . I'm still planning on doing the next translation as well if you guys don't mind!

Go ahead.

I can review once translation is done, if that is required.

By the way, how do you change your language in MediaMonkey?

Hello

You can change the language for MediaMonkey through: menu Tools > Options... > General --> "Interface Language".
Once the program is restarted, it will use the newly selected language.
