Additional Information not mine in library

I have gone to great lengths to tag my MP3s exactly how I want them and place my own album art in the folders. But whenever I clear the library and re-scan, I get extra album art, and some of the tags are not what is in the mp3 tags. It seems strange to me. Am I doing something wrong?

A good example is I have Don McLean - Story of a Life all compiled into a single directory, with the tracks numbered 1 to 47. MM diplays it as 3 different albums (Story of a Life, Story of a Life - Disk 2 and Strory of a Life - Disk 3) with the tracks numbered from 1 for each disk. (That strange spelling of Strory is what i get, not a typo.)

I have placed one file AlbumArt in each folder with the songs. Sometimes I get that art, but frequently when I look I see 3 or 4 other pieces of art. And sometimes the one I placed is not the one selected.

I should mention that I have this PC logged in as a guest account and have had some set up done as administrator when I was first setting things up. It does seem to have the ability to give each user it's own library. But does the other library interfere and do I need to clear that one out to really start anew?

I expect that if my library is set up correctly I can delete it and re-scan to rebuild it based upon my latest file contents and not have to make individual corrections for art, and tracks, etc. That would be way too tedious with 3 dirrerent PCs relying on the library.

This is very confusing to me. Can anyone give me some insight?
