Hi
Been using the free version for a while now and I really like MM. Thinking of buying Gold version but its a bit pricy since digital river is adding 19% sales tax when UK VAT is currently only 15% and it also looks more expensive with fall of pound against US dollar. Does anyone know if there are any coupon codes or up and coming promotions. Cheers

so far theres only been the promotion doing christmas time. so thats a long wait. but the wait might be worth it because monkey is in beta testing now and will have a better version out some time before long and by christmas they should have all the stuff fixed in the released version.

Hi,
It always amazes me that people think the price of software such as this is expensive - especially MM where it is a one-off payment.

Two main reasons I think for wanting it 'cheaper' (I have Gold and am pleased with it).
1) People are used to getting this stuff for free - either because it is open source or because they can 'obtain' it via p2p software.
2) People just love getting X% off - sort of as a badge of honor.
Personally, I think Mediamonkey is a bargain period. A free version, a Gold version, a lifetime version - and all at a very reasonable price!
Oh, anyone have a coupon for a friend of mine who wants to go Gold, but says they want it cheaper?
[Actually, unfortunately, it's a serious question... which is why I responded to this thread.]

The last discount was during the holidays, there's nothing like that going on now though.
