It's ignoring it for sorting purposes, not for grouping of files purposes. So Beatles and The Beatles will be sorted together under B instead of The Beatles being sorted under T. You'll need to make both values the same if you want them grouped together.

Thanks, but can I request that they are grouped together as well. Doing otherwise defeats the purpose, I think.

That's unlikely to happen as grouping happens on the same value. Why not modify the values so they are actually the same? ie. why do you need to keep the 2 different values for the same Artist?

The files are shared as torrents, so changing the Album Artist will mean that they are broken for the torrents.
