extend/customize right-click tray icon

I'm on the hunt for any script that will...
(1) - allow me to extend/customize the context menu that appears when the MM system tray icon is right-clicked.
this would be amazing, but I understand I'm aiming rather high
or
(2) - add the Send to... functionality to said menu.
this is essentially all that I need
Basically, I find that I spend a lot of time listening to to tracks with MM in Mini Player mode, and rather than restore MM to full view each time I want to add the Now Playing track to a playlist, it would be great if I were able to do this directly from the system tray icon.
I'm going off on a bit of a daydreaming tangent here, but I would be just as content with a script that accomplished the same via the Mini Player's right-click menu as well.
Anybody have any suggestions?
