Spotify skins - MonkeyRok 5.1 updates (2010-05-06)

Hi Eyal,

Great skins, but one question. When I use the Spotify skin, input text into the search box and then select the text there is no highlighting. There are several skins which have the same behavior while others correctly highlight the selected text (see this thread http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =9&t=45520).

Do you have an idea how highlighting can be enabled?

Yes it's not bad, I'm proud of this one. I retouched all icons and will make script's matching themes.

Hi Dip,

You souldn't have any problem highlighing text in the searchbox.
Just make sure you have at least one saved keyword within the list:

Type a word to search and press ENTER to save it to the list.
Highliting should work afterwards.

EDIT: Nevermind. Seems Eyal is right. Perhaps a bug that was fixed some time ago, but was seemingly "cached" as entering a new search (to the several already in my list) fixed the issue.

That did the trick! Thanks a lot, I would never have found that easy solution.

Oops, unfortunately it's not completely solved. I closed and restarted MediaMonkey and the problem reappears. If I input only text WITHOUT pressing Enter the just typed in text cannot be highlighted. As soon as I select a previously saved search text or as soon as I save the current text by pressing Enter everything works fine for this MM session (even for new text which is not saved). But after the next start of MM the same problem appears.

Is there any solution for that?

Happy New Year everybody!

Finally I did it, as promised. The new icons set (and other things ) took me much longer than expected, but it was worth.
If you like it I could include it in other Spotify versions. Thanks everybody for your color suggestions.

Let me be the first to say WOW.

This color is amazing, a beautiful addition to the Spotify group. I'll be honest, at first I didn't care for the Spotify player with its sparce look. I wanted all the tag info on the player. Now with the Song Information Panel and Monkey Rok to give me all the info, sparce is good, and it is one of my favorites. And when I have a favorite, I want COLORS.

PS. Here's a dumb question. What are the cue reader, enhancer, and skin for scripts for? Since I don't know, I probably don't need them, but you never know.

I like colourful skins too (among other colourful things), but this one is very touchy because it can look awful on certain screens. Monitors with COLD color temperature tend to dramatically wash up reddish color/contrast. Most monitors can be calibrated to display COLD or WARM (6500 K) color temperature, but some do not. This skin looks great on my PC but does not on my HP laptop I tried with control panel to tweak its colors by adding more red, but to no avail.

Anyway, I'm happy you like it.

Enhancer is an excellent Winamp DSP plugin that works great with MediaMonkey. You can see screenshots in first post of this thread.

Cue Reader is a script made by Trixmoto to display cue titles. Screenshot.

maybe another "new" idea for the rating design.
i have exchanged the original one with the dark stars from your helium skin. it looks quite nice in the indy version. maybe stars are a bit boring but who cares
