When i search for a new monitor i discover this wonderful monitor and i must create a skin that look like this fine piece of design!

This skin have to live with the well known limitation's from Dark/Black Skin's,
but there is still hope for some fixes in the next MM release (like we can read in the forum)

This skin will set a new standard in Skinning.

DreadM you're very talented.

Edit: 2 minor adjustments that you might want to consider.

1. The highlighted ratings. I think they are too big, and the contrast between selected/ non selected "dots" is a little too subtle.

2. Letters being cut out in the song title.

DreadM, this skin is absolutely beautiful!

I love the glass effect you gave it, and the icons with the touch of red.

Some things you might consider:
-Timer / Title text is too bright. Something like #E0E0E0 should improve contrast with the background.
-Same thing for the Status bar.
-Restore/Minimize/Close buttons?

Maybe something like this: (FontHeight=-16)

Ooh! Ooh! This skin is so tempting. Spotify-Wine or this, tough choice. Might have to work out an alternating schedule. It's a shame that scripted buttons cause such a clash with this skin though, given it's lack of color. Might have to look into modifying them so they fit, then figure out how to get the "Vision-version" ones to appear. Hm.

The only thing I would like to see is the track position and playlist track info. Maybe under the RSDP buttons?

This one is going to be on the desktop for a long time. Absolutely gorgeous.

When I click on the album art in the bottom left corner, it opens in a very small window even though my cover art is 700px x 700px.

Some more ideas:

- Get rid of the MM icon for every windows. (options, cover, properties, ...)




- The sign in the title bars looks nice when the bar is vertical, but is too close from the right edge when
the bar is horizontal ( only 1 px )

-Timer / Title text is too bright. Something like #E0E0E0 should improve contrast with the background.

I agree with Eyal and I think the status bar is also a little too bright.

Thanks,I'm glad you all like it ,it was really a hard piece of work this time.
But you are all right ,this skin need a bit more work.

Ratings:
i can try some things , but there are just Star and Half star icons and no ; selected/ non selected icons

Text cut off / color's:
again don't test on Xp ,but this is no problem,and for the color's i look. Eyal you got always a good eye for color's

Restore/Minimize/Close buttons:
Well i was also think about but decided to let theme away (for design resson),sure thy are useful and i got some ideas but must look if it works

Script Icons:
Yes, this i also don't like and makes me i wish there was a better way to handle this icon stuff.

AlbumArt:
This is a well known behavior from MM when the skin use AlbumOverlay object.

CloseButton from Title bars:
The Close button behavior drives me crazy since I'm skinning ,i can not get them centered over the ScrollBar ,and the position on left side is different as on the right side
But i look for this again

I just wanted to note a few things.

Dreadlau posted a screenshot of the rating circles getting bigger when selected, but that is not happening for me. My rating circles are the same whether or not they are selected.

I don't necessarily think the status bar is too bright, but Eyal has a better eye for this than me. Perhaps I'll like his suggested color better if I see it?

Will your MonkeyRok and Song Information Panel skins have the same type of scroll bar as the rest of the Vision skin? The MR and SI skins for Noir have a different scroll bar than the scroll bars in "Vision".

Ah, I just figured out the enlarged ratings circles that Dreadlau posted about. The circles get bigger as you mouse-over them to select a rating. I like that behavior, but I guess it could be just a hair smaller. But not too much smaller.

I also noticed that the ratings circles only behave this way while in the "Show Details" view. It behaves differently in the "Album Art with details" view.

This is already a gorgeous skin, I can't wait until you are done.

The only thought I had concerns the scrollbar. Most skins have arrows, you have + signs. In keeping with the progress bar, volume bar, and other buttons in the player, wouldn't it look good to have a + on one end of the scroll bar and a - at the other? Just a thought, you know best.
