Auto-Organize with date (yyyy-mm-dd) format

Post by SDJeff »

In my "date" field on the properties menu I use the complete release date if known, ie Month/ Day/ Year. I would like to use YYYY-MM-DD in the "date" field instead of the default M/D/YYYY. Is there a way to change the format?

I have set up a custom field for the release date and I use the yyyy-mm-dd format. The format helps me in sorting on non-media monkey apps.

My next question is, if there is no way to change the "date" field format, is there a way to achieve the format in auto-organizing? <Year> truncates the date to year only.

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm also interested in learning whether this is possible.

Jamburglar- Since then I found out that you can use <Date> instead of <Year> in Auto-Organizer. It will give you yyyy-mm-dd.

I was using <Date>. Did some research though, and found out that the way the date is displayed in MM is based on your Date Format settings in Windows. :D Set it to yyyy-MM-dd and it's been smooth sailing from there.

It looks like we had two different problems, though. :]

Cool. I'm glad you figured that one out! I've have to remember that if I use another computer.
