metadata disappears

The music files shown in my library have been having artist, title, and album data disappearing.
Any clue as to what might cause this?

Could be that you're editing files in the My Computer node instead of a Library node like Music. Could be that another software is changing tags (and Folder Monitor and Rescan picks this up).
