Thanks for posting the solution. I'm guessing someone else will need it at some point.

Backup Instructions
Is there an instruction manual? I've searched and this 96 page thread is the closest thing I've found.
What is Output Archive? Why does it have a browse feature? Why doesn't it go to the Output Path? Why can't I dot it? What is the purpose of "Second archive?" Why multiple paths?
With answers to those questions, I could probably figure out why I'm getting an error: "Output path currently contains 11Mb which could be deleted. Do you wish to continue?"
Thanks!

Re: Backup 6.0 - Updated 01/07/2014
I'm getting a VBScript runtime error:
https://imgur.com/a/nqXnYvq
This is for Line 1724, Column 2, which as far as my limited knowledge of scripting goes, refers to deleting files and folders.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

MM Gold since 2006
Back up my media library...
Hi all,
I'm running MM 4.1.23.1881, and running the 'Backup' addon (v6.0). I have two issues that I'm running into. All I really want to do is back up my music and settings, so if someone has another recommendation, I'm open to suggestions, since it's entirely possible that I'm doing this the hard way.
Anyway, here are the issues:
1. When trying to configure the 'Backup Archive' (Which I take to be the music itself, but I could be wrong), I can set the floder, but I can't click on the radio button to turn the option on.
2. When shutting down MM (Which is when I have the backups scheduled to happen), "Backup canceled because output folder already exists", which seems kind of silly, since most people want to back things up more than once in their lifetimes.
Anyway, I haven't figured out what I'm doing wrong, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Backup 6.0 - Updated 01/07/2014
OK, so in other words, this addon has no support, at least looking at this thread and the age of the addon... I guess I'll just do the backups thru Windows, no big deal.
Re: Backup 6.0 - Updated 01/07/2014
Hi Mikey.
I still use the Backup Addon, but I never set it to backup at shutdown, as I always used to get errors. I don't use Auto either.
I just click on the Backup icon from time to time, and I never have a problem.

While restoring, I'm getting this error:
(Image https://photos.app.goo.gl/PgYZCio5UqY5bYW48isn't working)
Permission Denied Error.
Code: 800A0046
Is there a user manual for this script anywhere?

Is there a way to receive [Paid Help]. The way many free forums have started.
People are ready to help free. But they give priority to who are ready to buy them a cup of coffee or, may be, a beer.

Hi,
Try contact Trix directly https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/membe ... ile&u=2191 I guess it is the best approach.

Re: Backup 6.0 - Updated 01/07/2014
I think you might find that many users manually restore, as Restore.vbs has been troublesome.
- Double click MediaMonkey.reg to add the data to the Registry.
- Copy and replace MediaMonkey.ini to either C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey or C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey.
Just check the above location for you. - Copy and replace MM.DB to either C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey or C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey.
It should be the same location as MediaMonkey.ini - The Plugins, Scripts and Skins folders are copied and replaced at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\Skins for a 64-bit operating system or C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Skins for a 32-bit operating system. - The MediaMonkey folder is copied and replaced at: C:\ProgramData\MediaMonkey
I doubt if that last one changes too much.

Thank you very much. You solved major part of the problem.dypsis wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 7:35 pm I think you might find that many users manually restore, as Restore.vbs has been troublesome.

Re: Backup 6.0 - Updated 01/07/2014
What I would suggest, if you want to find your locations super fast, is to install Everything, which is a search engine for your computer. In fact, you don't even have to install it. You can get the standalone version if you want.
[SOLVED] Path Not Found (Backup Script)
At time of closing Media Monkey version 4.1.21.1875
I get the following error:
Script: C:\Users\Drew\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Abackup2.vbs
Line: 328
Char: 11
Error: Path not found
Code: 800A004C
Source: Microsoft6 VBScript runtime error
Here are lines from Abackup2.vbs
327 For Each fil In par.Files
328 Call fso.CopyFile(fil.Path,m3up,True)
329 Call fso.DeleteFile(fil.Path,True)
330 Next
What file is it having problems finding? Where do I correct that setting?
Windows Version 10.0.17763 Build 17763
Thanks!

Re: Path Not Found
It's Trixmoto's Backup script. probably located here at:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\Scripts
C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts
If you run the backup manually, do you get that error?
I always had trouble with the "Auto backup on shutdown" setting, so I don't use that setting.
My settings are here.
