Hi,
It is actually easy when you get the hang of it, when I actively worked as DJ only thing I would need is Blinking Beat led on Mixer for each channel and one for Master. There was no limits I could beat match in 10-15s.
Software algorithm was always bad, even MixedInKey fail on 10% of tracks, but at least gets 90% correct.

Re: BPM analyzer
Hi,
The question arises again: which 5k out of 50k are not correct?
So I am not spared the manual metronome check.

Hi,
They are off by far so they are easily spotted and usually indicate an issue with track itself.

Re: BPM analyzer
For a long time I wondered whether an analysis of the BPM was needed. I had my eye on "Mixed in Key" because it should be the most accurate. It also supposedly writes the data correctly into the mp3 files without ruining them. Unfortunately, apparently last week they switched to a subscription model, which is why a one-time purchase is no longer possible. Maybe I just overlooked that it has always been a subscription model So it falls out of my favorites list.
Erwin Heinzl has already gained a lot of experience here. I know his contributions.
Which program do you use to reliably determine the BPM value?

I use tuneXplorer but I can't say how reliable it is.

Hi,
I personally use Mixed In Key and it is essential because it also create Initial Key that I use in MM5 for Playlists.

Re: BPM analyzer
As I already wrote, Mixed in Key is out of the question because of the subscription model. I only want to pay once, otherwise I won't. I just want to determine the BPM so that I can create different playlists. I don't ask a DJ who earns his money with music. The hobby should be fun and cost little money. $ 49 a year is too much.

Re: BPM analyzer
This is what I do - perhaps once every month or two.
Go to the Entire Library Node / Add BPM to the columns and then sort by BPM. Select ALL those at the top with no BPM value.
Create a play list of "$$$Missing BPM" (right click / send to) and export to M3U file.
Open the M3U in Foobar and analyse for BPM and then update the MP3 files.
Add / Rescan files to the Library then check the new BPMs have been added.
Delete the $$$MissingBPM playlist which is conveniently at the top of the list of Playlists (I sync devices using Playlists, so I don't want this hanging around after the BPM update).
Duration is about 30 minutes with say 5 minutes user time. One downside is that my MP3 are all backed up to cloud storage, so updating many files creates a bit of traffic.
It would be great to have an Add-On to further simplify / automate the process of adding BPMs.

Re: BPM Analyzer
Is it still a subscription model? It doesn't appear to be on the website. At least, I cannot see where it states it.1001Musik wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 9:55 am As I already wrote, Mixed in Key is out of the question because of the subscription model.
