I just had to install MM on a new computer. I managed to configure all setting to how I like, except the Recently Added list. It lists pretty much every song in my library...even though I've added a handfull of titles since then. In my old setup, that list only showed the last several songs I added. Is there a way to clear that list and only have it show recent additions? (If I right-click, I only get the option to remove the songs from the library or library/computer. I simply want to remove them from that list.)
Thanks,
Ragtag

Re: How To Clear/Manage Recently Added List
It's an AutoPlaylist so you'll need to right click on the Playlist to edit the Criteria for the AutoPlaylist. AutoPlaylists don't allow you to edit individual files on it, instead they use Criteria to automatically manage which files appear on it.

Re: How To Clear/Manage Recently Added List
Thanks for the quick reply, Lowlander. I'm not at that computer right now, but I'll look at that when I am. I don't remember doing that in the old setup, but I guess I must have.
Re: How To Clear/Manage Recently Added List
I'm fairly certain it uses the Added Criteria which would likely match all your files as they just have been added, whereas on the old PC that would have been much longer ago for most files.

Re: How To Clear/Manage Recently Added List
I'm wondering if the titles listed in the Recently Added playlist (I never knew that was considered a playlist) are removed automatically from the list after a certain period of time. Otherwise, the old computer's list would include every song I ever added. (It doesn't.)
Is there a setting somewhere for how long to consider "recently" added titles?
Anyway, don't wanna be a pest...I can poke around some more to figure out why the difference. I still have the old computer, and can compare. First, I'll update the old computer's install. It's a couple minor builds older, apparently. (4.1.20 1864). The new computer install is 4.1.29 1910 (I'm guessing we can just refer to builds by the date ("1864" vs "1910"), if that's what they are?)

Re: How To Clear/Manage Recently Added List
Yes, you can adjust the Criteria to you needs. It likely uses Added which can be adjusted and you can also limit it to x files.

Re: How To Clear/Manage Recently Added List
I got the same problem. I think this should be fixed so that we could delete songs even from an automatical playlist (without deleting them from the database). With the old media monkey this was better.
Re: How To Clear/Manage Recently Added List
That is still possible, you may need to re-enable the confirmation under Tools > Options > Confirmations.
