Spurious "cannot delete, access is denied message" during track removal

Running latest test build 2275 in portable mode (was also noticed in 2273), MM5 appears to generate spurious "cannot delete [dir\filename] " Access is denied" The file may be in use or you may not have access rights message when right clicking and removing track from playlist. However this is bogus, the track has already been successfully removed and clicking OK to the message clears the error.

How to reproduce:
Pick a playlist (for example, files to edit, Duplicate titles)
Right click on a duplicate track, select remove
Select delete all copies and remove from the database
Error will then appear even though track has already been successfully deleted, click ok to clear bogus error

Additional info: I discovered this doesn't always occur, some testing seems to suggest:
I think this might only occur if there are two tracks with very similar filenames, for example Dir1/music track.mp3 and Dir1/music track (2).mp3

I can't replicate on 2275. Tried a few times with different tracks. Is this consistently replicable for you with certain tracks/names/directories?

I also cannot replicate, but I see that you wrote " delete all copies and remove from the database"
Such a dialog appears only when there are multiple copies of the same track, e.g. when track is downloaded from a cloud location or synced to a cloud location.

Such a track(s) have the cloud icon in the 'Source' column together with the hdd icon.
So maybe it just failed to delete the remote cloud copy?

Anyhow if you can still replicate then it would be good to catch this in debug log generated using DbgView (item 4b here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643 )

ok, perhaps its something I'm not understanding about the cloud sync aspect however I only see this intermittently, and it appears only when the files names are close duplicates in the same directory, such as track.mp3 and track (2).mp3

As for the link to MediaMonkeyEngine.exe , it has already expired, so use build 2276 for generating the debug log.

sorry for the delay on updating this but I've been trying for several weeks but cannot reproduce this problem anymore. I'll continue to monitor but suggest you close this one down.
