MM3 is fine with Vista Home Premium and in fact I didn't really have many problems with MM2.
You do have to be aware that when installing scripts you often need to run MM as Administrator first, perform the install, quit and then re-run MM3.
If you do get any problems with scripts, there is nearly always someone in the forums who has tried it with Vista and they have the solution.
In terms of other software, MM3 seems to me to run at least as well as anything else on Vista. I'd say go for it!!!
