Need help with library files apparently relocated (but not)

I have (always had) my music library on drive F under the path Media/My Music/mp3. You'd think that the path would start with F:\Media\My Music\mp3 but apparently not. For some reason MM4 has decided to use the drive F's volume name and made that part of the path. The name is (and was) "F-Int" (Int ...

Automated way of adding year to album title?

I've got all of my mp3 tags populated with artist, album name, year, genre etc. What I'd like to do is run my entire library through a plugin or a batch script (or some other tool) so that it takes the album year and appends it to the album title in parentheses or square brackets. So an album from ...

Re: Duplicates of every single file in my library, how to remove?

The Duplicates may be somewhat easy to remove by sorting on Added. The new copies (which aren't on Playlists) would all have the same recent date. Oh man. That would have been the most obvious thing to do. I did spot it adding all the files for a third time btw, so I think I'm best off with the ...

Re: Duplicates of every single file in my library, how to remove?

Well, I'm back to only one copy. Unfortunately I went the wrong way about it. I removed ALL music from the library, knowing that it would be re-scanned (just once) on a restart of MM. I was right, it definitely did that. What I didn't expect is that it would destroy my playlists. They're all empty ...

Re: Duplicates of every single file in my library, how to remove?

Yeah, it shows the same in every single column for both versions of the file (same filename, path, media, type, etc).

Duplicates of every single file in my library, how to remove?

I recently had an issue where I had to use the Drive ID fix plugin, the result was that it fixed my bad drive id/paths but now have a duplicate of every single file in my library. I've found this help item but I don't understand what it's saying. It starts with "In the Tree, go to the Library". I ...

Thanks a lot - that was way easier than I thought. The script ran for 1.76 seconds and fixed all of the files :D

My Playlists are messed up, how can I easily repair them?

I created a bunch of playlists in MM4 and they're currently not working. When I click on a song in the playlist it auto-skips to the next (the standard behavior for when a file is missing) and it keeps doing that until it gets to the end of the playlist. Backstory: I have all of the mp3 files on a ...

I ended up using MediaMonkey inside Win 7's "XP Mode".

Re: Batch Art Finder 4.1 - Updated 31/01/2011

Every time I run this program it freezes and I have to shut MM down. I have yet to share the joy everyone else is raving. A little help please. You'll need to provide more info than that to get some help. You at least need to detail what version of BAF, Windows, Internet Explorer. You'll have ...

Re: Batch Art Finder 4.1 - Updated 31/01/2011

Thanks a lot for the code modification, it was hard to live without this script :-) @d4005 try running Mediamonkey with administrative privilege. I've tried, no luck. It's not so much the problem of Win 7 and it's needing of admin privilege, it's more an IE9 problem I think. It's not something that ...

Re: Batch Art Finder 4.1 - Updated 31/01/2011

Thanks Joemama. That's a great interim version until we can get a google fix. I still can't get the script (with or without Joemama's change) to go to the next image by clicking on "Try Next Image" when I'm using it on Win7 x64 with IE9. I have to run MediaMonkey inside the "XP Mode" virtual machine ...
