Re: Milkdrop 2.0

Lucidox, Thx for the suggestion. I'll follow up on this, but at first glance, it appears that Milkdrop 2.0 isn't open-sourced. -Rusty Rusty, I've PMed Milkdrop's main developer regarding this. I'll let you know his response when I get it. Also, if anyone wants more detailed information on Milkdrop2 ...

Milkdrop 2.0

I apologize if this is the wrong forum, but I wanted to get the attention of the devs. Milkdrop 2.0 has just been released with Winamp 5.5, and features major changes like DirectX 9 support, custom textures, pixel shading, and in general, better looking visuals. I think everyone would love for Media ...

Export Library as TXT/HTML?

Is there currently a way for Media Monkey to export the library (via tags or filenames) as a text file or web page? I've heard of a few other media players and taggers that do this.

Thank you.

Slightly off topic, but aren't ratings stored in ID tags? MM does. iTunes does not, at least not in a format readable by MM. (And iTunes does not read the ratings from MM) Hrm. It sounds like there isn't an accepted standard for storing and reading this. I can't see why else all the major players ...

Please give your thoughts on how you want a MM skin to look like!
Personally, I think Winamp's new theme is very clean and modern looking:

I'm sure with time someone will port this one to MM3.

Slightly off topic, but aren't ratings stored in ID tags? I remember media monkey scanning raw mp3s (without importing any settings from other players), and discovered that some had 5 star ratings.

While I prefer Media Monkey for tag editting over everything, the new Winamp is a lot of fun to use. For any classic Winamp fans, I recommend checking it out the beta, as it really pays homage to the classic skin, while incorporating a lot of modern elements like the all in one interface, tabs ...

I've used Winamp for years, and have recently switched to Media Monkey after discovering how incredible its Media Library control is. While I'll probably always use MM for organizing and tagging, since coming across this post, I've become hooked on AIMP. The sound quality is noticeably better than ...
