Yes, I had hidden files and folders being displayed, but still couldn't see it. So I decieded to try and uninstall and reinstall the extension. When I tried to reinstall it, I got this: Image

But it is still listed in the extensions menu as if it did install... somewhat.

Would a reinstallation of MM do it?

if you are new user than your statistics can take even few months until they are populated. To ensure that they will be populated Tracks listened number must increase.

@Looxer
Sorry for late reply but issues you describe are mostly in Last.fm DJ and optimization of code is needed due the fact that first version was started as need for porting of ScrobblerDJ to MM3.x and I gladly read all your suggestions.

Hi Everyone,

Plugin Looks Good, Love the fact that it is Native, so you talented guys can add stuff that is needed for Mediamonkey Scrobblers like myself.

Have a few Requests, and would love some feedback on if they have been considered, will be considered, etc

1. Include and Exclude Directories, or Genres, or anything to give some ability to decide what kind of stuff gets submitted. basically i don't want my audiobooks, and podcasts to be submitted.

2. When Synchronizing a device which increases playcounts, (be that ipod, Creative, iriver any player) can a cache be created, and the ability to submit those tracks.

3. The ability like when syncing tracks, to only use the first artist. E.g. i have tracks with multiple artists, seperated by semi colons, etc. can we get the scrobbler to have an option to only submit the first name.

I think the idea of making a native plug-in is to add options which are not currently available using current methods. I currently use the winamp plugin and it allows me to include exclude directories. Until this plugin improves on the method available currently i will stick with the winamp plugin.

Look forward to seeing the development of this plugin. I do love the Last FM AutoDJ, excellent work.

Kind Regards,

Ben Howard.

Thanks for the hint.
I already use Option 1 and wanted to get rid of the update messages.
But if Option 3 doesn't work for me I'll sit and wait for the next release of the native plug-in.

I have the timezome problem too. In my case last.fm shows the most recent track as "played 58 minutes ago" and times going backwards as we go along further in the list - the last track on the list says "1 minute ago".... The track are in right order but the times go backwards... I corrected this by changing the timexone in my computer which is silly since the clock in my computer is now two hours off.... Otherwise I am very satisfied with the native plugin as it scrobbles the japanese and russian song titles that I have.

@Volition
1. We are yet thinking to to properly implement that and use all existing MM features, but some sort of this will be added to next few versions (if not next)

2. There is some limits how Sync playcounts back to MM Library which makes this not possible currently, but it is on Plugin To-Do.

3. Something similar will be implemented in next version, But be ware that some applications sort/save Multiple Artists Ascending and If you send only first one you will actually post wrong one (Artist: Rayvon; Shaggy, Title: Angel an it should be Artist: Shaggy; Rayvon, Title: Angel).

@jkata
Timezone Issue is fixed in new plugin. I had same problem it too. THX for confirming Unicode Scrobbling.

Could it be a Last.fm problem?

I am having time zone problems on the site. It has been happening for a few weeks. My settings keep changing.

I don't think it is a Last.fm problem since the times were right again when I scrobbled with Winamp. Also, as I wrote in my message the times were "right" when I changed the timezone settings in the computer. But then, of course, the clock in my computer was two hours behind.... I want to keep on playing MM since I like the program more than winamp and I am doing it right now qith the winamp-plugin, but that doesn't show the japanese or other foreign characters. My experiment with the native plugin showed that it would do that so I am very excited when the new version comes...

Please excuse what must be a dumb question, but I've read and re-read through this thread and can't find the answer. How do I install the Last.fm_DJ_2.0.0.23.zip file?

Thanks.

@gblum: Probably you use Internet Explorer, right? Because the file should have the ending MMIP but the Internet Explorer renames it automatically to ZIP. So rename Last.fm_DJ_2.0.0.23.zip to Last.fm_DJ_2.0.0.23.mmip and double click on it. MM should install it then.

That was it. Thanks.

Now that it's installed, how do I invoke it? I was expecting to see it on the scripts list.
