As MM (when setup accordingly) is kind enough to remember "Bookmarks" in podcasts, audio books, whathaveyou, might it be possible to extract this information from the DB and place it in, say, one of the unused Custom Fields - which could then be displayed prefixed to the 'Length' column to give an implied "<x-time> [Listened] of <y-time> [Total]" time display.
Naturally this would probably be fairly simple if the Bookmark data were held as a timestamp form in the DB, but somehow (given the myriad of filetypes via CBR and VBR) I doubt life is this easy - but one never knows. As the Bookmarking system works (obviously), the data must be available in some useable form, even if it requires some arcane decoding to display via human-friendly milieu.
The object is to avoid having to temporarily play each file just to figure out how much of it has been listened to - such media these days can be quite lengthy. Would be even better were it possible as an automatic background function (in lieu of needing to manually execute the script to update everything), but like any normal abstract-deity fearing human, I can face life's limitations with equanimity and resentful grace.
Apologies if some other script actually extracts said information... surprisingly few posts come up when searching the forum for 'Bookmark data'.
Thanks.
