Sqrsoft Crossfading in MediaMonkey

Post by superakcraig »

I have used Winamp many years successfully with the Sqrsoft Crossfading Plugin and was really excited to read that you can install the same plugin in MediaMonkey but I seem to be having a problem.

The settings in the Sqrsoft Crossfader do not work when being used in MediaMonkey. I turned all the features off except the crossfader it self...so say if I skip to the next track, it should immediately go there....it does not...there is a delay of at least 12 seconds or more. When I click stop, the song should stop, it does not for about 12 seconds or so. I even went so far as to copy the "settings" file (the .INI file) from Winamp to MediaMonkey, still with the exact same results. In Winamp, it works exactly as it should.

Does anyone experience the same thing? And if not, what do I need to do to make the plugin behave exactly as it does in Winamp?

Thanks for your time!!

PS...I have both versions 1.5b and 1.75 of the plugin and I still get the same results.

Try this:
-Uncheck [Use fade-on-stop/skip crossfading parameters] in the [Advanced] tab.
-Or check [Flush on stop/skip] in [Fade on stop/skip] tab.

Only SKIP will be immediate with these settings. Pressing STOP will continue playback until the buffer empty out ( = Mixing buffer length).

It always works this way in MM for me.

Eyal,

Thanks for the tips. I spent about 2 hours the other night tweaking the settings. I will try what you are saying but I have been able to get it to stop immediately and skip immediately. Again, thanks for the tips. I honestly think I like the 1.5b version better and the 1.75.
