sync a folder to a playlist??

sync a folder to a playlist??

Is this possible, if i add a song to a folder in windows and the folder is auto monitored in MM can i then get the folder to link to a playlist and the playlist update itself everytime i add a song to the winows folder? Hope this makes sense

Only if those tracks you add to the folder are in the MM library, because I think autoplaylists only pull tracks that are in the library. An autoplaylist criteria could achieve it, though.

yeah well the track should be in the mm library as i have my music folder auto scanned everytime i open mm so it adds any new songs, so how do i actually get mm to add to a certain playlist. any ideas?

Create an autoplaylist with criteria Path contains "Your file path"
if you don't mind could you explain in a bit more detail on how to do this please as id love to be able to do this. using version 3.0.4.1185

Open MM.
Right click on playlists node.
Click new autoplaylist.
Click to advanced tab.
Double click Add search criteria.
Enter Path contains "Your file path"

done everything so far but come stuck at this point?

Click on the little arrows next to Property/Condition/Value then follow the instructions above.

Property: Path/filename
condition: Contains
value: Whatever folder path you want to be in the playlist

ok, how do i write this in the field? i,m a newb and not a programmer....lol

Just write the path like C:\My Music or just the folder name (if it's unique) like /My special folder/ in the value box.
