Re: Guide to iPod syncing
I do have "manually manage..." checked.
So, you load music on your iphone with MM and then sync with iTunes (without the same music that you loaded being in your iTunes library) and you don't have a problem with the sync erasing your music?

Right. I have nothing in my iTunes library at all other than applications and a back up of my iPhone.slovey wrote:I do have "manually manage..." checked.

Re: Guide to iPod syncing
I've got the same configuration and the same problem...
When I sync my iphone with MM, all my tracks are visible on the ipod app but if I sync it with itunes just a moment after, all tracks are erased from the database on the ipod app...
But there's a thing, if I quickly sync it with MM again, or just add one song... all tracks are back... weird ??

Hi there, I've been recommended MM by a few friends and it's great, does everything I want it to do...I think.
Is there a way to transfer or copy the list of songs checked to sync to an iPod from iTunes into MM? They're the same libraries, I just don't want to have to go through 100GB of music selecting what I do and don't want on it again.

Re: Guide to iPod syncing
No, it just keeps the MM library in sync with the ipod, not the other way around.Guest wrote:Hi does syncing enable me to copy files from my ipod to my computer? i just reformatted it so im looking for something to get my stuff back. Re: Guide to iPod syncing
Hi,
Was is established that if your iTunes library is empty then it won't wipe my iPhone library when I sync with iTunes?
Hope so, just fell foul of that myself too, took an eternity to get it all back.
Thanks!

Re: Guide to iPod syncing
It won't matter what's in your iTunes library if you've followed the directions at the wiki, specifically "Manage music and videos manually".wildejon wrote:Hi,

Re: Guide to iPod syncing
Same...works great to copy over and keeps album art (using MM 3.2.0.1294) and plays fine, but once I sync to iTunes, it doesn't list any music, though they are all still there. Something with the DB getting messed with by iTunes?Cyrus wrote:I've got the same configuration and the same problem...

I can't re-sync with MM because it can't detect it and if I hit sync again, it will try to recopy all the songs over. All music files are still there because iTunes says the space is occupied by "other" and I can SSH into the music folder and find all the F-folders with the Mp3s.
Am I missing a step or something?
