Thank you for reporting this, there is a bug when listing years for unknown albums. I will get this resolved in the next version, but for now you won't be able to use both of those options together.

I have been trying for weeks now to get this to work for me. No matter what I do, I can't get the album art to show up in my report. Can anyone help me figure out what I am doing wrong? Here are my settings.

Thank you.

There's an issue with images in single file mode at the moment, hopefully I'll get this fixed in the next version though.

Hi.

I suddenly get an error when I try to create a report. First I get this (roughly translated from Danish)

Code: Select all

Error #7 - a Microsoft VBScript runtime error occurred
Out of memory: 'fso.FolderExists'
File: "C:\Programmer\MediaMonkey\Scripts\AdvancedReport.vbs', Line: 2338, Column: 2
I click OK and I get this:

Code: Select all

Error happened during script execubon:
Out of memory: 'fso.FolderExists'
What can I do?

I have absolutely no idea - I don't know how this function could be out of memory! :-?

Re: Advanced Report 5.5 - Updated 09/02/2010

Post by trixmoto »

New version (5.5) is now available to download from my website. Changes include...

- Added genre summary (thanks to Tralla)
- Fixed artist name not being encoded (thanks to Tralla)
- Added option to include table header (thanks to Tralla)
- Fixed errors when TrackMask is table and CompTrackMask is list
- Added debug mode to output timings and SQL commands
- Fixed "object variable not set" error in single file mode
- Fixed image path incorrect in single file mode
- Fixed bookmarks not working in single file mode
- Added artist mask which is applied to artist title
- Added <Comment> field to all masks
- Added options to list artist genres and years
- Fixed multi-artist delimiter not taken from settings
- Added <MediaIcon> field to track masks
- Added option to show artist/album links (thanks to Jn and Gege)

I would especially like to thank Tralla for her help, her modified scripts have helped me fix a number of bugs and add new features. I think I have also implemented the suggestions I have received via email and PM, such as the <MediaIcon> mask field. To use this you will need to click the "Set Icons" button and setup your drive types.

The "show artist/album links" option that I have added uses the Web Search Panels script written by Jn. The "WebSearch.xml" file in your Auto folder is read; all links with %title% in are ignored, any with %album% in appear at the top of each album and any with %artist% or %albumartist% appear at the top of each artist. I thought this was better than trying to keep up with requests for new sites to link to. This script does not need to be installed, you just need the xml file.

trixmoto wrote:"By Artist" looks in the album artist field, "Featuring" looks in the artist field (and not in album artist field) and "All" looks in either - same as MonkeyRok.
I like the option to show "All" so that compilations will be included with the appropriate artist, but I'm having problems withe the Composer field. By selecting "All" I also get anything that was composed by the artist.
For example, Bob Dylan wrote many songs which he did not perform. Unfortunately, all of those songs where he is listed as the composer is getting included in the Bob Dylan field. So I end up with many unwanted artists in the Bob Dylan group.
Is this expected behavior?

Also, what is the expected result for choosing "All(split)"? As it is now, I just get a 0 in front of the album name in the Album List.

Thanks, I love this script!

Ok, I'll take a look at the "composed" issue in the next version. The "all (split)" mode is supposed to show all but group the "by" and "featuring" rather than mixing them together by the sort order. Can you provide an example of what you are seeing?

Great, Thanks

Yeah, so here is an image of a portion of my Bob Dylan artist album list. I chose "All(split)" and as you can see, it does place all artists which feature Bob Dylan at the end of the list (I marked the split in red ink). However it seems to place a '0' in front of the album name.

This image also gives you chance to see the "composed" issue. For example, In this screenshot you can see an album by Jimi Hendrix, one but The Band, and another by the Indigo Girls. On all three albums, Bob Dylan is listed as the composer on a track, nothing else.

Thanks!

Hi Trixmoto,

Love your scripts but I'm having a problem with Advanced Report. Anytime I try to install the script, I get an window popup that says "Unable to create directory". I'll paste my post from the need help forum.

"I'm running into this error message when I try to install Trixmoto's Advanced Report script. I'm running 3.2.0.1294. I have MM opening in admin mode and have never had an issue with installing scripts in the past. I'm currently using Vista Home Premium.

Was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks for the help,
Kraig

p.s. I've tried re-installing MM as well. Didn't seem to help. Oh, and I've unblocked the mmip file in the properties."

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,
Kraig

@gpzbc - ok, I'll try to fix both these issues in the next version.

@nqstv - this script doesn't attempt to create any directories when it is installing, or do you mean when running the script?
