Can you explain the following option that appears in your iPod Sync Guide:

Video tab

Uncheck the “Sync TV shows” and “Sync Videos”. Videos will have to be dragged from iTunes to the iPod entry in the tree on the left hand side of the iTunes screen.

I can't drag anything in iTunes 9. In other words, I cannot select a movie in my Movies or a TV Show or just a Video in any of their respective folders and then drag'n'drop it onto my iPhone. I really would like to be able to have both video and audio on my iPhone at the same time. I can't use iTunes it can't handle the fact that my music is on a Network Drive... and so far I have enjoyed MM, except for being able to have my Videos and Audio co-existing on the device.

Hope someone can help....

Syncing my ITouch to MM but having some trouble. I have deleted a number of playlists & replaced them with updated ones. However, the ITouch doesnt seem to recognise the fact I have deleted the old playlist & now I have 2 with the same name. How can I delete the old one?

Thanks

So then once you transfer your music to your iPod....there's no way for it to auto update a file name should you edit it in MM?

Not at all, the track will be recopied if you update it if you're using auto-sync.

Hi,
I have synchronized my ipod with MM for the first time. All I wanted was to put music on it from my computer, but what happened is, that all tracks that were already on the ipod have been copied and added AGAIN. So I have all tracks double on it :-? Please help............

Strange behaviour with podcasts in MM 3.2.0.1294 with an iPod 4G: even though I selected "sync only unheard podcasts" and "delete tracks..." the podcasts that have a read count of 1 are not deleted from the ipod. Their playcount is also not synced to the podcast directory, so I can't know which podcasts I can delete on the computer.

What's going on there? Shouldn't it work like this: I listen to a podcast on the ipod, the podcast is marked with playcount = 1 so with the next auto-sync it is removed from the ipod, and with the next update of the podcast channel the file is also deleted from my harddrive?

Hi,

I recently setup Media Monkey with my iPhone on two different computers. On the first computer (iTunes 9, XP, Mediamonkey 3.2.0.1294), there was no problem. With the second computer (iTunes 9, Vista, same Mediamonkey version), nothing works, and it deleted all of my entries. The iphone says there is no music. When I try to sync from media monkey, it syncs all the tag information such that I will have 5 empty listings for the same song. The funny thing is that itunes says the media is there on the bar at the bottom (although not in the music sync tab). The phone no longer thinks it's there.

Any ideas? I'm going to try the first computer in a little while.

I have the same problem too.

I was just thinking though maybe it's because I had selected 'dont delete files on ipod'.... Perhpas that applies to podcasts as well? Ijust changed that option , but havent tested it yet.....

I tested it and for the first time it removed podcasts from my device.

I still have the same problem re/ playcount synching though.....

I have a new 5th generation 16 Gig IPOD Nano. I'm using an XP machine and the most current version of Media Monkey to manage my music files and IPOD library. MM has done an excellent job of synching my music library to the new Nano... however, none of my MM Playlists are transferring to the new Nano. Have others had this problem with 5th generation IPOD Nanos, and how can I fix it?

Hi so I appear to be having a minor issue with my synchronization. I managed to get all my songs and playlists from itunes into Mediamonkey and they all play fine on the ipod (a second generation itouch 8gb jailbroken with 3.1.2 firmware) except for one minor and annoying issue. You know the "scrubber" or little bar that shows how many seconds through the song the song is? (it's also the thing that lets you go to a specific point in the song) Well, that doesn't move as it should when the song is playing and when attempting to "scrub," you can only bring the song back to the 00:00 mark. (Also interesting to note is the fact that it no longer displays how long the song is and as a result, both the counter into the song and the counter at the end of the bar stay at 00:00) Any chance you know how to fix this annoying little bug?

Never heard of this problem. What type of files? I can only imagine its a problem with files on your device.

Well they range from .mp4 to .wma to .mp3. To get my playlist from itunes to mediamonkey i used the "iPlaylistImporter" script on the .xml library file i created by right clicking "extract" on my itunes music library. Out of fear for my ipod i went back and synced through itunes again and the bar has returned to working function. Maybe my ipod just doesn't like mediamonkey. =P Ever heard of problems associated with it due to jailbreaking?
