We're beginning a new round of testing for MediaMonkey 3.2.1. This is a minor release, however, it does include a few significant fixes, including compatibility with iTunes 9.2 (in parallel, we're working on 3.2.2 which will add compatibility with iOS4).
We're planning on a fairly short test period before we release this, so let us know what you think. Thanks.
What's new?
See a full list of changes in the changelog for build 1296.
If you have gone for iOS4 then you can download to your phone indirectly via iTunes 9.2 ... use my MM plugin to synchronise from MM to iTunes and then use iTunes to download to your phone.

I'm not quite grasping this... I am in MM... Itunes loads as well... I have quite a bit of AutoPlaylists in MM.. just the basics in Itunes... I only have about 140 songs in Itunes.. and all 55000 in MM. I right click on the Itunes node... and do an AutoSync.... and nothing happens. What is supposed to happen at that point?
Are there specific configurations I am supposed to have set ... outside of the default install?
Should I have my music all loaded into Itunes too?
What exactly is this script/dll supposed to do..?
When is MM going to support OS 4 and Itunes 9.2??? urrrghhh ... frustrated.

when it's ready... seeing as the issue was reported as soon as it was spotted and the dev's got the iTunes 9.2 fix ready within a couple of days it's pretty clear that they are working on it. they have also stated that MM 3.2.2 will fix the sync issue with iOS4 but i suspect this may take a little longer. if i remember correctly, we had the same issue when OS3 was released last year but it wasn't long until a fix was released.
personally i am frustrated with apple for changing things yet again - presumably to make it harder for 3rd party developers to create software that works with their products.

These questions are better posed the thread where the script is posted and not here.

Glad this happened before my investment. It's a great little program, but if it's not going to work with my device it really doesn't do me much good.
I aggree with Frankz, I was actually going to test the program out and buy it but i can't even see how well it syncs and such. I do know or understand with changes like this with the phone that it can take a little while to get updated, so in the mean time I am gonna play with MM and see how it works. And i just found a way to import my playlists from itunes so gonna get working on that.
Unfortunately that's what happens when you buy Apple, it doesn't play nice with others. The MediaMonkey does always work hard on resolving these incompatibilities introduced with each Apple update.
I just got to ask. I really, really like Media Monkey.
But is there a real advantage to using Media Monkey to control my Ipod Itouch or just simply use Itunes?
I know about having to keep both up to date as far as a music folder, playlist might be duplicated in both but all in all, Media Monkey has problems porting sometimes Album pics I understand and or playlist working right.
I just got my Itouch a week ago so I'm just wondering if Itunes just might do a better job. Does it sync better, use less space then Media Monkey would?
If you just hate Apple and or Itunes, okay I get it but come on.
well im having an issue with itunes crashing everytime i sync my music and of course apple has never heard of it and i get shit for help on the apple forum, so im looking else where. I always have some type of problem with apple and music.

Of course iTunes does a better job, because that's what it's made for. MediaMonkey is for those of us who are more concerned with the actual music than the device itself. It's just an added perk that MM can add your MediaMonkey tracks and playlists to the device.

Yup, thank you, that is what I was saying.
Out of curiousity, how long does it normaly take the devs to update mm after something like this? So I can get an idea of some sort of timespan. I saw on the site they are going for a quick update but i have been on here for the past 4 days .
