Searching for an Addon... extracting lyrics

Post by Guest »

Hi ^^

As the title says i need an extract lyrics addon, is there something similiar here? I searched but i couldn't find anything :(
Also, i need one which is compatible with all sort of characters (not only latins)...

Like a sort of album tagger but with lyrics...

Plugging 'lyrics' in the search box gives you lots of results, the best of which is this:

I've used Lyricator for more than a year... but, where's the "extract" option?

Ah, I misunderstood what you wanted. Where do you want the lyrics extracted to?

Yo' out there!
I have also searched the whole internet for this and it's true, there is no addon 4 MM.
BUT, i found 2 free programs to do just what you (and i) wanted! :D I use them a lot.

First, this is for not so many files, (No batch) http://abander-mp3-lyrics-extractor.en.softonic.com/
And for thousens of mp3 to export lyrics in batch from: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia ... ther.shtml

(Godfather is a REALLY good tagger&organizer 2, but, heeey.. we have MM 4 that  )

Hope it helped you and others.

None of them works with non-latin chars :(

I wonder why not ask in Lyricator topic for new feature.
It should not be too hard to add it using On Play Unless track is on CD/DVD.

He did ask. The function does not fit well with current structure of Lyricator so I am looking into creating a new script for the purpose.

Maybe it's a bit too much, but could you make it "unicode friendly"?

That is a given. If Lyricator can store it then the extractor will extract it.
