I got an error when I tried to install this update version. My previous version worked fine, not sure what happened. But I followed the instructions as written on the first page post. I've included some screenshots of the error that pops up.


Once I clicked Ok this came up:


I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail. If this turns out to be an error just on my computer or something that can't be fixed I'd be more than willing to take a link to the older version. Thanks

Try the Custom Duplicte Search-Node.

It's better than nothing. But I want to find duplicates based on the file, not on the information in the tag. This way MM can't spot the difference between a the same song, one called i.e. Even Flow and the other Evenflow.

I'm afraid not. I have 2 of the same songs on my harddrive. The difference being the bitrate and such. They are in mp3 format, but MM nor the script sees it as a duplicate.

Aha, then I get what you mean. MM doesn't currently do "audio finger print" it does "file finger print", meaning that it only can find files that are identical in regards to size, bitrate and file-content. What you could do is to to let Music-IP analyse your files, it does "audio finger print". There is a script which can perform such analyse (search for it) and instructions in this thread from mainly Owyn on how to set it all up.

I installed that script and used it on these songs (Using the field Custom5):

Then I went to the Advanced dupl. find note, hoping that that Alive and Even Flow would show up.
They didn't. Is there anything I did wrong?
