"Itunes Sync Required" after syncing Ipod 4gen with MM 3.2.4

Hi,

I am at my witts end trying to sync my ipod with MM 3.2.4 a I have always done in the past without any isues. My ipod seems to sync fine and the music is on there until I turn my ipod off (power off). Once I do this, I can no longer access any of my music and I get a message on the screen on my ipod saying "Itunes Sync Required" "You must sync with your computer before you can use music". When I go into "about" on my ipod and have a look at the summary, it says that I have all of my songs on there. I have connected to Itunes and resynced (all boxes unticked, only manually manage music ticked) and then I can access my music again? This has never happened before and I have never had to use itunes in the past. Any ideas, solutions would be greatly appreciated. I am getting very frustrated.

I have a similar problem. Last week I sychronized my IPhone 3GS with MM (no problems before). When I tried to play some music (500 km away from my PC), I got the message "Itunes Sync Required" "To activate the iPod you have to synchronize it with your computer". The original Message is in German.
So last weekend I tried to synchronize MM again. I had to do it twice, before it worked again. But today (some hundred songs later and again 500 km away from my PC) I got the message again. The iPhone was connected last on sunday. The only unusual doing was, that I loaded yesterday two apps via App Store.

I hope, that there is a solution for this problem

Hi Tay,

The only thing that I can think of that I have done different to have received the message was download some apps from the app store as well.

Start with trying the latest version of MediaMonkey 3 (3.2.5) or MediaMonkey 4 available in the Beta forum.

I've had this issue repeatedly with my iPhone 4 and MM 3.2.4 (1304). I am reluctant to try Beta code. How long until MM 3 exits Beta?

I'm not entirely sure it's an actual beta. Anyway the only changes are to Apple Devices support.

I downloaded MM 3.2.5.1306 (beta) and the problem seems to be fixed with this version.

No so fast people,
I have MM 3.2.5 and had the same problem when I first started using MM 3.2.5 and iOS 4.3.1. After I sync with MM, try to open ipod app with iphone still conected to PC - got that meassge, so i did sync with iTunes but the changes from MM were lost. SO I tried again, this time disconnected iphone from PC the it worked. Changes from MM remained. I downloaded new Apps to the phone still worked. Then on my way to work got that same message. That led me to this forum. I dont c meself using itunes for my music. I might just have to go back to the old iOS before 4.3 for iphone.

I got home, did a sync with MM not itunes and my songs are back on. Then I shut down ipod when still docked and linked to the PC and the message popped up again. Did another sync with MM, songs are back on.
Worked fine.

Looks like once the sync is over and u open ipod and it works with MM music all is good, but when u close the ipod app the message will pop up again!

How did you guys find the problem?

We have not been able to replicate any problem. If you can, please try to clear your device and resync with the latest MM version. If there is still a problem, contact us via the eSupport link at the top of the page, so we can collect some more info about the problem.

I did as advised above. cleared me iPhone, reloaded music using MM. Started iPod App and got the same message.
When i synch with itunes the the iPod app works, and works fine. if the last sync was with MM when the iPod is shut down it will post the same message.
I have all the latest software: itunes10.2.2; MM 3.2.5 and iPhone 4.3.2
That is my experience!!

For my problem (see above) I found a work around:

Sync iPhone with MM. Start iPod-App immediately after sync, then you get the message (building up the media library [in german]) and the media-lib is ok. I don't know, how large the time frame is to start the iPod-App - I think one or two minutes.

Adding an App via App Store or updating an App will destroy the media-lib - so you have to sync again.
