Yes, it IS that same problem, but without the error pop-up box, and it IS showing my lyrics.
Also - this is NOT the portable version.
So, although it is the same issue, there seem to be a few differences, too.

Can you please do the following tests and post the results here?shemantis wrote:I installed this new version of the script, and it seems to work fine...except...it's a tiny little box in the upper left-hand corner of my screen. I can see the lyrics, but only a little bit of them, since the box is so small. I cannot move it or enlarge it. Any suggestions? I am using MM4, and NOT the portable edition.
Test 1) Go to "Tools > Options > Lyrics Viewer" and turn the "Hide panel titlebar" option OFF. Then go back to main window and try to place the Lyrics Viewer panel in another location, by dragging its titlebar. What happens?
Test 2) Go to "Tools > Options > Lyrics Viewer" and turn the "Show icon in Toolbar" option ON. Then go back to main window and use the tollbar icon to turn the panel ON/OFF. What happens?

Test 1) "Hide panel toolbar" was actually NOT on. So, I checked and un-checked it again, and nothing happened. No toolbar ever shows up. I cannot drag it anywhere because IF the toolbar is there, it is hidden so far up at the top that it is outside of the MM4 window.
Test 2) The toolbar icon makes the small window go away, then re-appear. Same location, same size.

My issue was definitely a MMPortable issue. Fixed in latest release 1393.

Re: Lyrics and Comment Viewer 2.2 (2011-04-24) [MM3+4]
I un-installed and re-installed MediaMonkey to make SURE I wasn't using the portable version. I wasn't.
Then I noticed your post, so installed the latest release of MM4, NOT as a portable version, and sure enough, that fixed it!
So, I do NOT believe it was a "portable-version-only" issue, but the fix they released did resolve the problem! Thank you for your help!

Good to know everybody is happy now

Thanks for a great-looking script!
I have one suggestion for a useful option: auto-hide lyrics panel when active file contains no lyrics.
It would be great for people like me who don't want to scout for lyrics while listening to music, so there's no need to waste screen space just for a "search google" link.

Humm, seems interesting, but I don't have enough time to work on this, right now.wutzin wrote:I have one suggestion for a useful option: auto-hide lyrics panel when active file contains no lyrics.

So, I'll put in my TO DO list, but no ETA!
Re: Lyrics and Comment Viewer 2.2 (2011-04-24) [MM3+4]
gege,
MM4 shows an "update" for this script - I'm running 2.2, but it shows "2.1.0.1 Update Available". Thought you might like to know.

Reproduced, but I couldn't find the reason.gege wrote:Strange... gonna check this later.
XML file is correctly retrieved when opened in a web browser.
I'll investigate further.
