Yes tbok, Unfortunately I don't think anything is actually being done about it. But we live in hope

Re: Date format not sticking
I have the same issue. Dates displayed correctly (meaning, conforming to my PC settings of DD-MM-YYYY) when I was using MM 3, but now that I've switched to the 64-bits version of MM 4, dates show as mm/dd/yyyy whenever I start up MM.
I can add one more strange aspect to this annoying problem... When I enter dates, and use the format I expect my PC to use (DD-MM-YYYY), MM interprets them as mm/dd/yyyy anyway. Now that's not so strange, considering the problem this thread is about. But what's even weirder is that when the first part of the date is higher than 12 (which makes total sense if the format is DD-MM-YYYY), MM automatically switches around the first and second parts of the date entered! This means you have now entered the wrong date, but will probably not even notice it.
How hard can it be to fix this? It's just a matter of correctly using the date format on the PC (and applying that to data entry and to the date stored in the tag).

Re: Date format not sticking
I hear ya Tom de Jong but, if you've read all the previous posts and their dates, you can see no-one at MM seems to care about those of us facing this problem. Every time I've been asked to provide information, I've done so but I've had no response back. It's very frustrating. Have you tried the change of date on the system (or wallpaper works for some) and see if this changes the MM date format until next MM startup? Does that behaviour happen for you too?

Re: Date format not sticking
Yep, same behavior I´m afraid. When I change the date format, MM updates all dates on the screen (have to force a refresh but otherwise automatic). But as soon as I close and restart MM, all dates are back in the American format.
Re: Date format not sticking
Now if only one of the 'powers that be' would start experiencing the same problem. Then we might get some action
Re: Date format not sticking
The 'powers that be' are listening--thanks for making sure we don't forget
. We just haven't been able to replicate.

Re: Date format not sticking
I can't replicate either. A couple of questions to those of you experiencing the problem:
- when you make config changes to MM, do they save correctly?
- are you running MM as standard user or Admin?
Thanks.

I appreciate that it's not really practical for you guys to investigate something you can't replicate - it doesn't make it any less frustrating
In answer to your questions:
- yes all config changes save correctly.
- running as Admin always.
And thanks heaps for opening a ticket!

Re: Date format not sticking
Same for me: config saves normally, logged in with administrator rights.
There must me some other setting (either internal or external to MM) that overrides the date format set on the PC.
Thanks for looking into this Rusty.

Re: Date format not sticking
I'm using Windows 7 64 bit with MM version 4.0.3.1470. For other purposes I've looked at UK, US and Italian locales on my test system.
I've not experienced any of the problems listed in this thread. If anyone would like to me to do further testing then I'm willing to help.

Re: Date format not sticking
For those of you who've been experiencing the problem, can you confirm that build 1473 fixes the issue?
Thanks.

Re: Date format not sticking [#9115]
Hello,
It's good to hear that the bug has been fixed. But I hear it's in build 4.0.3.4073. I have 4.0.2.1462 installed and can't find a download option for 4.0.3 anywhere. Can anybody tell me where I can download the latest build?
Thanks for the support!
