Okay... I'm now on v 4.0.3. I keep hoping the problems will go away.
Here are my current issues (I've been seeing it at least since 4.0.2). I've been running MM as a Lifetime sub prob since version 1.something. I've become increasingly upset that the WORST (user experience wise) bugs seem to be getting introduced with newer versions. How is this happening? Anyway, here are my issues for now:
(1) I load up MediaMonkey. I notice that the TOTAL # of files shown in the lower left is about 6100. I let it do its automatic (on startup) FILE MONITOR search. It completes. It still only shows 6100 files. Also, the figures in the top boxes for artist and album clearly show an ALL figure that is too low. I then CLOSE MediaMonkey... wait a few seconds, and RE-OPEN it. All of a sudden, I'm back to my 8900 file count. What is going on here? I have ONLY ONE main directory in the file monitor.... v:\JUKEBOX it is organized into subfolders. It only contains mp3 and flac files, with a handful of wma files. All are music only. I don't use MM for any other media. I only add music probably once every few weeks or so, so this isn't a matter of it recognizing new music.
(2) Very annoying bug -- while the file monitor is doing it's thing on startup, it causes the scroll bars at the bottom of the music list (horizontal) to flash into and out of existence... over and over again, only stopping when the file monitor is done with its run through. It doesn't matter what skin I use or if I reorder the windows, it does this regardless. Very sloppy.
Missing music, have to exit and restart MM to see full libry
