That was my thought and I think I had such a rule in the past. I think this rule is set up by default. However I deleted all rules and created just one for flac files. Then when the problem persisted I added m4a files as supported on the device. Nothing changed. I still get those files converted. I assume hat I see is not really what is saved in plug in config but not sure if there's a way to check thatmarkstuartwalker wrote:Have you got an implicit rule to convert unsupported types to 128kb?aprzybylo wrote:I have strange problem. My library is combination of mp3 , flac and m4a (aac files comming from iTunes). I have only one rule to convert flac files to mp3 since iTunes doesn't recognize flac files. This works correctly. However every aac file is converted to mp3 128kb (originals are in 256) without any rule.
Set the supported types to be "MP3" and "M4A" for the device.

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
All device plugins are handled in a generic manner by MM code - this configuration is in the DB table DEVICES.
The plugin specifics are in the registry - this is by plugin code.
From a user perspective it is not always obvious where the distinction lies. Auto conversion are within the MM code area so there's not alot that I can check. You might set up a small single track sync list and collect some debug information.

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
Hi Mark:
I am a little rusty with the plugin but I need it because I need to get my tracks and playlists into itunes so that I can get them into doubletwist in order to try to sync my playlists for my android phone. Anyway, I have setup the plugin but I am getting the following error, I assume I have missed a setup somewhere:
This is what I have setup:

Any idea where I am going wrong??
EDIT: Never mind, as soon as I told it to ignore the folders it worked. This damn android, I am a second away from returning it for an ipod...

iTunes sync add-on missing?
Until recently I was using the iTunes sync add-on to sync with my iPad via MediaMonkey. It was running iOS 5, and the add-on worked wonderfully!. I just had to reinstall my OS, and now I notice that the plugin is linked in a topic above but now no longer exists on the MediaMonkey add-on site!
Having never done it another way, I'm confused. If the add-on is no longer available, how will I sync my iPad now?

Regarding my previous post, where this plug in stores configuration information in the case of portable install. I checked mm ini file, registry and portable registry removed all entries related to this plug from those places I uninstalled it plug in, reinstalled and all configuration was saved.

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
Yes, I edited the support website to be the wiki location rather than this support thread. This necessitates it going through an MM approval step. Until approved it does disappear.phasmaphobic wrote:Amazing. Thanks!Lowlander wrote:It's back on: http://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brows ... or-itunes/

How do I uninstall iTunes MM plug in?
I experimented with a MM 4.0.3 version for a while and installed the d_itunes4 MM plug in. I've since gone back to MM 4.0.2 and unchecked the plug-in under options/portable devices/available plug-ins but now every time I start up MM I get a dialog box that says "plug in d_itunes4.dll requires MM4.0.3.1465 or later to operate". I can't find that dll anywhere in program files/Media Monkey to delete. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

from MM (4.0.3) to iTunes (10.6) and from there to iPhone 4
It works gently as promised: from MM (4.0.3) to iTunes (10.6) and from there to iPhone 4 with iOS 5; where I keep the audio for on the road. Great there is a solution.
In my case a workaround for the currently broken Phone 4 with iOS 5 sync http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 12&t=61107; as I play my music at home using Squeezebox/iPeng, and try to live without iTunes using Amazon MP3 Downloader and other means.
Be aware to plan disk size. In my case another 40GB forced me to move the iTunes data folder to an external disk. Just change the path and let iTunes move the existing data folder.
Thanks

Music is the Answer
Manage it with MediaMonkey
LIsten to it on Squeezebox Touch, -Radio, -Controller, -Receiver, Squeezelite-X, iPeng on iPhone
Serve it by Squeezebox Server aka LMS running on QNAP
Store it to NAS Raid 1 with backup to OneDrive

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
I'm trying to uninstall d_itunes4.dll but I cannot find it to delete! I have scanned my entire computer (including hidden files/folders) and this file cannot be found. Is this possible? I can find it in the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER - software - media monkey under device but Is it safe to just delete this entry? Anyone have any ideas?

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
Scanning your entire computer might not have included the hidden App folder that it will be located in if you installed as non-admin.
Note to MM: can we show where the plugin is installed?
