Manage large number of playlists

Post by adrianp »

So I recently imported a ton of playlists. Is there an easy way to manage them? They are all under "Imported playlists" I want to organize them into subfolders/playlists, but using the current UI I can only move 1 at a time which is extremely tedious and time consuming.

Thanks!

Only way to organize playlists in the mm directory tree is by right clicking on the playlist node and creating another playlist name it as you want then you drag the playlist you want under it to that one and it will be put in to the list.

like you have lists by artists names and instead of having Henri rene mixed in with guy Lombardo and Elvis Presley Waylon Jennings you want them in their lists for genere
you just name the new list genere as the wanted genere and that is how to sub them out..

Yeah that's what I've been doing, but when you have like 100+ playlists, moving 1 at a time is a real unnecessary pain in the ass. There's absolutely no reason for the program to not support multi-selection in the tree.

Better Playlist Management

Moving playlists around to organize them is extremely tedious if you have tons of playlists. The treelist only allows you to drag and drop a single playlist at a time.

Multi-node select has already been requested.

Believe me i feel your pain man, as I have over 400 playlists too but i just use advanced lists for 98% of them so making new ones isn't that hard for me, pIus i set them up years ago. A little at a time. 8)

Well, there's sort of a reason. It leads to confusion as to what should display in the main file listing when multiple tree items are selected.
