repeated error with MM5 within seconds of playing track

MM5 is unusable with this error. No idea why it is happening. Have Firefox and outlook open at the same time. Never had this problem before. When this happens, the music keeps playing but the app freezes, timer does not move, etc.

Thanks for the report--unfortunately, this log doesn't tell us that much.

Can you manually generate and send us a debug log as described here in step 4b) ?

Also, what build are you using?

Hi

I have not been able to reproduce this problem this morning. Guess I slightly panicked last night. I did have a lot of apps open at the time so could have been some kind of conflict. If it happens again, I will try to catch a debug log.

From the code above I can only see that this crash happened during Wi-Fi sync with MMA (MediaMonkey for Andorid) while serving media file to MMA during sync.

Could you please try to run Wi-Fi sync with MMA again to see whether there is still a crash ?
- Use MM5 2305 please: https://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/MediaM ... _Debug.exe for the test
- Start DbgView app before MM5 start to catch it in the debug log (item 4b here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643 )

OK. Sorry I did not specify but I was on 2305 when the crash happened.

So I tried to emulate the situation I had last night:
- I made an auto playlist that selects all the tracks I have bought recently - it currently has 151 tracks and selects by random track, so each time the playlist is refreshed it lists the same tracks but in a different random order;
- I started playing the playlist and at the same time began syncing the same playlist to my android phone;
- I was also doing a bunch of other things online and was not really paying attention to MM5 or the sync, until the sync failed to complete (a message popped up on my phone saying that); it was after that MM5 began crashing
- MM5 continued to crash every time I tried to restart it.
- in the end I just shut it down intending to try again this morning - and this morning it worked fine, no problems.

Other info:
- after this happened, I ran sfc /scannow from the admin command prompt and corrupted files were found and repaired.

Bit of a long explanation - but I'm sure it's more helpful if I try to be really clear about what happened.

I repeated the situation from last night by playing the playlist and syncing it to my phone at the same time. I did not get any errors, sync failures or MM5 crashes this time. Here is a link to the debugview log, in case it might be some use:

I wonder if it might have been something caused by a particular track playing and syncing to the phone at the same time - something that could randomly happen because the auto playlist always selects the same 151 tracks in a random order.

OK, it might be this viewtopic.php?f=30&t=98369 regression in 2304.

i.e. you previously were on 2304 and now on 2305 it no longer happens.
Anyhow if a crash happens again then submit the crash log (and write the crash ID here), it usually contains also part of DbgView log so we should see more.

Clarification: You wrote that you were 2305 when the crash happened, but you must have been on 2304 since 2305 (an internal build) was only shared last night _after_ you had reported the crash.

I understand now that this was a problem with the previous build 2304 and maybe that is why everything is working perfectly now I have installed 2305.

No, I have not been able to replicate the problem with build 2305. Synced a playlist to MMA while playing the same playlist on MM5 - sync completed fine and no problems at all.
