"Remove" pop-up window is broken.

Post by VoxVulgus »

I am unable to remove an entry from the database or playlist, because it sizes improperly and can not be adjusted.

To remove an entry from "Playing""
- I select the file, and right click for the context menu.
- Select "remove" and the remove window pops up. The first time I do this, the window is properly sized and displays all the necessary options.
- But every time AFTER that first time, the window is improperly sized - only the window header and about one half a line of the contents displays, so I can't confirm the options (remove only from list, remove from disk), nor can I select "ok".
- Closing and reopening MMW5 corrects the problem for exactly ONE removal and the problem repeats for any removal thereafter.

I would include pics displaying the problem as your instructions request, but this forum app doesn't include any options for attaching pics?????

This problem started this week, just before I updated to the latest version, which did not fix the problem. I am using fully updated Win11 on a Dell Latitude 7420.

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you seeing this with?

[Edit: Rusty] Also, are you using > 1 monitor, and if so, can you describe the setup?

Thanks!

MMW5 v5.0.5.2695

The issue lasted for a few days and then late yesterday, right in the middle of a list of music files I was processing, it started working again, and has continued working since. There was no reboot or updates or whatever, I was only using MMW5 and file explorer for several hours before and after.

So I'll close this for now and re-open if the problem happens again in a re-creatable way. Thanks for the response.

I sometimes use a two monitor setup, configured as one virtual screen with the external monitor as the top and the laptop screen as the bottom. If this problem recurs, I'll test moving back and forth between those configurations to see if it affects the problem.

I once observed something similar when using 2 monitors in 'extended' mode: after waking from sleep, the minimize/maximize/close buttons stopped working (because MM was confused about their correct scaling, which is what I suspect happened in your case as well). I wasn't able to replicate the issue, though.
