Using 3043.
Not sure if this is possible. But would love to force CD disc/track numbers rather than Vinyl side/track numbers. If your data source does not have an option to choose, then probably mote point. Example albums that use Vinyl side/track numbers (at least for me): "Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here", "Queen - A Night at the Opera" or "Queen - Queen"

Re: Feature Request - Auto-Tag CD vs. Vinyl
Not so much "Force" but edit after Ripping files...
So - taking Wish You Were Here - as the example:
Do you want?:
In addition to incrementing the track number, you can quickly select "Properties" and change the <Disc #> for multiple tracks in one go.
Combining a number of FLAC (or other audio files) is - to the best of my knowledge - outside the scope of MMW 2024. If that is of interest then maybe FooBar or CueTools have an option / add-on etc.
Hope this helps

Do you want?:
- Disc 1 Track 1 Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 1-5.flac
Disc 1 Track 2 Welcome To The Machine.flac
Disc 1 Track 3 Have A Cigar.flac
Disc 1 Track 4 Wish You Were Here.flac
Disc 1 Track 5 Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 6-9.flac
- Disc A Track 1 Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 1.flac

Re: [REQ] Auto-Tag CD vs. Vinyl
Thanks for the reply.
Correct, I would rather:
Disc 1 Track 1 Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 1-5.flac
Disc 1 Track 2 Welcome To The Machine.flac
Disc 1 Track 3 Have A Cigar.flac
Disc 1 Track 4 Wish You Were Here.flac
Disc 1 Track 5 Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 6-9.flac
Than what the auto tagger is suggesting:
Track 1 Have A Cigar.flac
Track 1 Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 1-5.flac
Track 2 Welcome To The Machine.flac
Disc 2 Track 2 Wish You Were Here.flac
Disc 2 Track 3 Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 6-9.flac
I left the "Disc" off on purpose for some of the tracks, since this is what auto-tag is suggesting. Sometimes it picks up the disc #, sometimes it does not. For the Queen albums, it set the disc numbers correctly. Most of the time, I just let auto-tag get all of the names fixed (after inspection of accuracy), then I manually go back and fix track numbers.
I know some people have created digital copies of their albums, but I would assume most peoples data sets are from digital releases. Thus the request.

Re: [REQ] Auto-Tag CD vs. Vinyl
Thanks for the feedback. We'll look into it.
fyi, the most likely reason for this is that MM currently recommends the _oldest_ instance of an associated album (which will usually be the vinyl version). But I can see why there'd be cases where this wouldn't be preferred and the better approach would be to recommend the oldest instance of a CD.
