Problems with conversion

Post by Biggus_Dickus »

I have the following issue when changing the converter and auto converter rules. When I change the codec, the settings from the previous codec are still present. For example, if MP3 is the active codec and I select OGG, the codec settings from MP3 are shown. If I then select WAV, the settings from the OGG codec appear. When I apply the settings, the previous codec is saved — not the one currently displayed

I’m using MediaMonkey for Windows 2024.2.0.3151 beta

Hi,
I am unable to replicate, can you please fill exact steps. Here is how I tested:
1. Devices and Services
2. Select device
3. Sync Profile
4. Auto Conversion
5. + (Add)
6. WAV -> FLAC -> OK
7. Double click to edit -> changed FLAC -> MP3 -> Settings changed -> OK
8. Double click to edit -> Correct settings are saved and showed.
Best regards,

Hi, Peke.
In the meantime, I performed a reinstallation. After that, everything was working normally again. But here are the steps that led to the issue:

1.) I wanted to synchronize approximately 300,000 songs from the FLAC format to the OGG format on an external hard drive, so I set up a corresponding profile.

2.) The synchronization failed due to an out-of-memory error, and I had to restart MM.

3.) When I then tried to edit the profile again, I changed the format to MP3, but the OGG setting remained in place. After that, I switched the format to FLAC, and the MP3 settings were loaded, even though FLAC was displayed.

Can you please capture this in a screencast (step 2) and debug log (step 4b) and attach those to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?t=86643 (screencast may be too large and require upload to a Cloud Service like One Drive and including a link to it in Support Ticket).
