Library View issue

Post by Richard127 »

Hi. Just updated to V2024.2.0.3184. Previous to this version, when I viewed library as a grid, clicking on Album Artist in the library tree, Artists were grouped correctly with a square thumbnail showing 4 of the artists albums (if they had 4 or more, that is). Now the grid shows artist pictures/images instead. I think this is ugly and confusing as the images aren't always obvious or accurate. Is there a way of changing it back? Have I missed a setting? Or have I just got things screwed up?

This means you have the Artist images lookup enabled, which will do a lookup for Artist images (this is a bug fix).

Thanks Lowlander. I've unticked that setting and it's back to how it was before. However, it's just for the thumbnails I hadn't already looked at and updated. Any thumbnail that was already set to artist picture before has retained it's artist image. Is there a way to tell MM to refresh back to album art? clearing the cache doesn't seem to work. For some reason my system doesn't have any files or folders starting with "MMCache *******".

Check you MediaMonkey Temp folder (set at Tools > Options > General) for artist images.

I've done that but all there are in there are a half dozen randomly named .tmp files. But I won't take any more of your time. Now I know that MM is doing what it is supposed to do, I'll leave this there. Now I know it was due to a bug fix and not some broken or corrupt code, I'm cool with that. Thanks for your help.
