Is this, "Scan file directories for Artwork", the option in question? Or, is it something else?

I did a WiFi Sync from MMA to test. It seemed to check all 17194 files. Also, someone tell me how to get MM5 [or MMA] to tell me how many files there are in total in my collection?
Q: Should I uncheck "Scan file directories for Artwork" and try again?
EDIT: Oh, yeah. I unchecked and the next WiFi Sync from MMA was almost instantaneous. So, how or when is it necessary to check the box again?

It's not necessary, but an issue in an earlier release caused both long scanning and long syncs. After the initial Sync on the new build the subsequent syncs should be fast again like it used to be.
