Hello!
Using the most recent version of MMW (3184) and MMA (1290) on a Pixel 6a.
I have a couple of files in my library that are audiobooks, and I cannot figure out how to get them to sync to my phone.
I have confirmed:
- they are classified as Type "Audiobook"
- they have genre "Audiobook"
- title, album and other metadata is filled out per the documentation
- they are part of my library - i can see in the "Entire Library" node.
I've synced my phone via wi-fi several times now and the audiobooks just never appear on my device. When I go into the Device profile, the "Sync List (Library to Device) tab doesn't even show Audiobooks as an option - there's only "Music" and "Playlists."
I looked through all of the settings options and reviewed all the documentation/searched the forums, but I wasn't able to find any recent instance of people having this issue. Help would be appreciated!

Have you tried enabling Audiobooks on the Homescreen? When browsing through Audiobooks the files still fail to show?

Re: Audiobooks won't sync to MMA
Hi, yes, I have audiobooks on the home screen of MMA. That's one of the ways I can tell they are not syncing - because nothing appears in that area after I have synced.
The other way I can tell is that they never show up on the sync log when it's happening.

Do you have Audiobooks disabled under Tools > Options > Collections? If so, enable it, then try selecting some Audiobooks in the Device Profile.

That was what I thought might be the problem - but there is not an option for audiobooks in Tools > Options > Libraries > Collections and Views.
I know there used to be one, but I don't see any option for it there now. https://imgur.com/a/Pp0M09O

Then you likely removed it at some point. You can either recreate it Type = Audiobooks as Criteria, or use Entire Library or Playlists to select Audiobooks to Sync.

Re: Audiobooks won't sync to MMA
That seems strange, and I don't recall doing that. There are lots of things in that list that I would have removed since I don't use them; but also why would you build software that the user could permanently remove functionality without telling them that is what has happened, or including that in the documentation?
I say permanently, because I have tried to add back the collection node as you suggested, and I just get a popup saying that in order to do that, I need to pay for Media Monkey Gold.
There's no way for me to choose "Entire Library" in my Device Profile to Sync. As I mentioned in my original post, it has two options - "Music" and "Playlists."
What it sounds like is that somehow I have removed the functionality from my version of the software, and not even upgrading to the newest version will restore that option, unless I want to pay for the Gold version of the software. Or I guess, reinstall it? I'm not even sure if that would work without deleting and rebuilding my database, since my computer is less than two years old, and if I did delete the audiobook node, it would have been on a prior computer.

In that case add the Audiobooks you want Synced to a Playlist and select the Playlist to be Synced.

Re: Audiobooks won't sync to MMA [#21936]
Yeah, I have that as a workaround. I also can change them to Music, sync, and then change to Audiobook on my device. But that's annoying.
Can we open an issue for the part where people can delete nodes without realizing they won't be able to get them back? Or at least add that to the documentation or as a popup before you confirm? None of the other nodes except Music seem to be deletable.
