Tags not updating on Android with sync

I have both the Pro android app and Gold of Windows.

Recently I decided to remove "Album Artist" tag from all of my files (Artist tag still intact), and then only add that info back to selected bands. This way I can select from the left menu "Album Artists" for to see the artists that I selected (think Beatles and bands with multiple albums). This way I don't have to see all the random 200+ artists that have 1 track in my collection.

Then I synced with the phone

I found a way to add "Album Artists" tab in my phone. BUT the removal of all Album Artist tags from files didn't sync up on the phone. So there is a discrepancy of tags with the phone and windows. Few days ago I changed one artist name to "Misc" to test somethings. Now my phone didn't even sync that one, still has the original name as "artist"

I've come across this similar problem where I recently renamed some of my own recordings in windows. Then when I synced, it didn't change the names in my phone.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

Now, to get all the tags right, is the solution to delete all of my phone library, and add them back again by sync to get all the tags right?
