Multiple collections?

Post by Camaron »

Please bear with me. I´m unfamiliar with mediamonkey terminology.
I´ve just bought the gold licences as I understand it supports multiple collections-libraries

I want to have two different libraries/collections, one for classical music and another one for everything else. They are in separe folders. I want to customise different layouts/view for each of them. How do I do this? I've tried defining the collections by their paths but this is not working. Genre would be complicated as I have around 200 defined genres overall. Thanks very much

Or maybe the problem is just the way I identify the path? "E:\Music\" (E being a usb external drive)

A. You have Type you can filter on (default Music collection includes Type = Classical Music, but you can remove this).

B. Path filtering works fine. What Criteria did you actually set (screenshots can help)?

Thanks.

a -I didn't know about "Type". That would work, but I would need to incorporate that tag, and I don't seem to be able to tag files simultaniously from multiple folders? Can I do this?

b -The path is defined as E:\Music (as copied from Windows file manager). https://photos.app.goo.gl/dqarKycj1vT5mL1JA
